F-252 Tenn Poor Boy 45

The warmth of cherry wood against the matt plumb brown of steel makes a great combination for a Southern style longrifle.

This one has both in the popular 45 caliber in flint. The 7/8” barrel has been shortened to 32”for lighter weight and ease of handling. It uses a long tang with three bolts securing it to the trigger plate for extra strength thru the wrist.

The lock of choice is the tried and true small Siler flint firing into a drilled and coned vent in the sunshine position for sure-fire reliability. There is even a quill located behind the cheek piece to keep it clean.

The trim is in iron using a poor boy style Southern guard and we’ve added a butt plate and toe plate for protection. The trigger is plain high pinned simple trigger with an easy pull.

The length of pull is set at 13 ¼” to account for extra clothing and the weight is only 6.8 lbs.

The cherry wood full stock has been stained a rich cherry color and sealed with multiple coats of hand rubbed Tung Oil.

This is a simple gun and a lot of bang for the buck. It will make a great hunter or target gun and you’ll definitely get your money’s worth at the very modest price of $1199.
