F-249 Left Plains Rifle Halfstock

We get a lot of inquiries about left handed Hawken style halfstocks.

Here’s a chance to have a very nice custom made lefty in 58 caliber with all the best stuff.

Hawken or plains style rifle parts are notoriously expensive and the labor to build is too.

We  jumped at the chance to pick this one up from the Walker collectors estate sale. It shows normal wear and very little use with no dents or carry marks.

It features a Colerain 1” x 34” 58 cal barrel fitted with a fixed breech and steel under rib. It is nicely inlet to a CM-4 curly maple stock with a beavertail style cheek piece.

The Length of pull is 13 ¾”” and the weight is 9 lbs.

The lock is a tried and true left large Siler flint firing into a stainless steel vent liner.

It is tripped by Davis set triggers housed in an English sporting rifle style trigger guard. The butt plate and toe plate are the plains rifle style, while the nose cap is hand fashioned from poured pewter. The steel parts have been browned a nice matt finish plumb brown.

This is a very nicely made gun in great shape. We got a good deal on it and helped some folks out, so we’ll pass the savings on to you. You can have a custom built left hand plains rifle half stock at a great price way below replacement value at only $1399.
